About Event

The Texas Educational Colorguard Association (TECA) is a regional organization in Texas that hosts and oversees indoor performance competitions for color guard, percussion, and winds groups, primarily serving middle school, high school, and some independent ensembles. Throughout the spring season, TECA organizes a series of events where groups perform choreographed shows and receive scores and educational feedback from judges, all within a structured, classification-based system. While it operates as a competitive circuit, its primary focus is on supporting student growth, and providing meaningful learning experiences through performance.
